Illustration | A new validation step to improve the client experience

Desjardins Insurance April 19, 2022

As you know, an insurance policy is physical evidence of the agreement between the insurer and the client. Have you ever had to return it to us because there was a typographical error in the name of your client? Have you ever had a situation in which the premium presented to the member/client was changed due to the date and month being reversed in their date of birth?

These situations, although unfortunate, can happen and involve additional delays and costs to issue a new policy. These situations can even tarnish our brand image.

With the goal of issuing accurate policies on the first attempt, a quick and easy step will be added to the Illustration app on April 19: Final check before the application step.

When you click Save for eApp, the following new window will appear:

Steps to take

You must select the language the illustration should be created in and check the following information:

  • Names of the policyowners and insureds, including typography and their role (policyowner/insured) for the policy
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Rate

Check the box or boxes and confirm that the information is accurate by clicking Save.

Note: This step prevents importing incorrect data into the application.
